WP-Bible plugin pretty much says that God has told us the end from the beginning and that it will all work out the way that He wants. Well, we have to consider what “it” is. I think this is referring to the completion of His Creation plan, not the end of the world or anything like that. In this statement I believe God is saying that we were shown the end of His overall plan even before the prophets or John’s Book of Revelation. Huh? Well, if you take Him at his word, and I do, that means that somewhere in the beginning is the entire plan, up through the end.
Now, where would one expect to find this complete plan? In the Days of Genesis of course. At least that’s where I found it.
It’s almost impossible to read Genesis and not get attached to the idea that the 6 Days are all there is. But with the 7th Day, in which God rests from all He had “created and made”, Genesis 2:3Genesis 2:3
English: American Standard Version (1901) - ASV
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and hallowed it; because that in it he rested from all his work which God had created and made.
WP-Bible plugin, we are not told that He was finished, only that He “rested”, which really means ceased. There is absolutely nothing to suggest that He was finished. Besides, it wouldn’t make sense to think that He was finished with the creation considering what was written later about the end times. It states plainly in Revelation that God will dwell with man and since that hasn’t happened yet, there’s obviously more to come.
I wonder at those people who try to turn the Genesis 2 account of the man made of dust into an eighth day. It’s really missing the boat when Genesis 2:4Genesis 2:4

Once I realized that the days of Genesis 1 more readily viewed as a structured graphic I set out to see all the days for the entire creation. This is why, in my diagrammatic illustrations of the Creation Days, I felt it essential to include an 8th Day in the overall plan. Only this could properly take into account the importance of the eighth day in God’s instructions to the Jews about their feasts and holidays. It is the eighth day after the birth of a son that brings circumcision.
In the overall diagram to the left you see each of the days named at the top and, on the first three days, a corresponding 2 dimensional graphic, showing the number of facets for that day. Day 1 is 2 points / facets as it describes a line. The line that separates light from dark. The second day is three points, a triangle, which represents heaven. The third day is four points or a square in 2 dimensional form which represents the earth.
Now this inclusion of an 8th Day for the overall Creation Plan could be said to be somewhat arbitrary were it not for the “confirmations” that are also from the Bible.
More about that later.
For now it’s enough to examine how it will be 8 days to complete His plan. I leave it to you to argue about the word “day” since I gave up doing that years ago.

8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou and thy fellows that sit before thee; for they are men that are a sign: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the Branch.
WP-Bible plugin–9 tells us God will engrave an inscription on a stone of seven eyes / facets and remove the iniquity of the land in one day. I have tried to find worthy exegesis concerning the seven faceted stone both online and in my own collection of books concerning prophecy. But in none of my searches have I found a satisfying expository concerning this stone. There is much written about the “Branch” of Zechariah 3 as the Messiah yet to come from his perspective, but precious little that is edifying about the stone.
This seems strange to me because over the many years I have examined the Genesis Days, not as periods of time from the beginning, but as a diagram of God’s overall creation plan centered on Messiah. And in so doing I found that the Days are about what, not when, and that the stone of seven facets had to be a man in the image of God as the text indicates. (See the complete diagram to compare all the days to their facets.)
Seeing this was very exciting to me because it showed me early on that I was onto something big. Otherwise, I figured, there would be more about this seven faceted stone in various study books as well as online. I know many people are only interested in the Bible’s teachings as tools for human relationships, at least that’s what most preachers in churches seem to focus on. And though I’m not anti-social, I am aware that my gifts are not in revitalizing people but in revitalizing ideas. That’s what I have been doing in my studies of the Creation since 1984.
Once I solidly associated this stone with Christ, the man completely in the image of God, it wasn’t difficult to see this as a reference to the verses in Psalms 118:22Psalms 118:22

22 The stone which the builders rejected Is become the head of the corner.
WP-Bible pluginabout the “chief corner stone” which the “builders rejected”. For a more specific explanation of the stone of seven facets as the capstone, see this page.
It may not seem like much to some people, but finding this reference to the stone of seven facets in Zechariah while working on the Genesis Days diagram, was a huge thrill for me. I’ve been investing thousands of hours in finding just such connections for all of my Christian life. For me this work is a form of imaging prayer and the findings a personalizing, powerful addition of joy to my faith.
I hope you also have such a path for your walk.
Precious few people recognize what the Bible does say about what some call “evolution”. The book of Genesis is actually loaded with bits of text about it. But most creationists don’t see it and evolutionists simply don’t bother to look, preferring instead to mischaracterize creationism as anti-science.
First off, I am 85% creationist and 15% evolutionist. Yes, that is possible. I accept that there were creatures somewhat similar to modern man before modern man. Who wouldn’t? I think, though, that neither creationist nor evolutionist purists have it quite right even though the Bible does tell it like it is. Not in the Days of Genesis 1 but in Genesis 2 – which refers back to Genesis 1:1Genesis 1:1

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
WP-Bible plugin. Now, this “beginning” has no time associated with it like the supposed Days of Genesis 1 and it clearly comes before the Days. This section explains how man and beasts were formed of dust (as opposed to “created in the image of God”) in a period on earth that was after rain and vegetation were in place. May have been billions of years but consistent with the scientific view of their order. This section also talks about woman as taken out of man. Could be about sexual vs assexual reproduction or even genetics but written in analogous language that could be more readily retained by folks not having a 20th century education. Since the Bible was penned at a time in man’s development where writing was somewhat new, this was an appropriate approach to such complex concepts.
Modern science tells us it wasn’t until about 80,000 years ago that Homo sapiens sapiens were the only man-like creatures left on the earth. (Let’s forget about Bigfoot, OK.) However, science cannot come up with a link between those earlier man-like creatures and modern man (though a number of scammers seeking fame and fortune have tried).
If you read carefully in Genesis looking specifically for references to “after their kind” or “after its kind” you will see that God was making a distinction that is very important to this matter of evolution. In the beginning, before the “Days”, (see Genesis 2:4Genesis 2:4
English: American Standard Version (1901) - ASV
4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that Jehovah God made earth and heaven.
WP-Bible plugin-19) there is no reference to “kind” concerning man, birds and animals. This omission is key to understanding what God is telling us about evolution. Evidently, in the period before the Days of Genesis 1, species were not “fixed” as they were later.
It isn’t until the Days of Genesis 1 that God refers to “kind” and the story of Noah and the Ark establishes further that all creatures on the earth – those not going extinct – would be “after their kind”. This is a clever way of detailing the great variety of life on the earth even though it flies in the face of strict evolutionists who insist this all happened without God’s direction and that the flood of Noah never happened. Well, if the flood story is really about the end of inter-speciation on the grand scale, then it all fits.
For more on the Bible’s discussion of man’s origins see GenesisDays.com. Just remember, the Bible is God’s autobiography, not man’s biography.
Those of us receiving a formal education primarily in the 20th century are well aware of the relationship between light speed and time. When astronomers discuss the great distances between galaxies in the universe they speak in terms of light years, i.e. how long it takes light in space to cover the distance between the objects, also the distance between what we observe and the observer. So we are at least somewhat familiar with the concept of light as a measure of time, if not expert. Now this raises an interesting possibility in relation to the Bible’s explanation of Creation. Remember, God created the heavens (Genesis 1:1Genesis 1:1
English: American Standard Version (1901) - ASV
The First Book of Moses, Called
Genesis
1
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
WP-Bible plugin), that is the, sky, heavens or universe before He said “Let light be”. Light was not “created” on what we call One Day of Genesis (Genesis 1:3-5Genesis 1:3-5

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
WP-Bible plugin and the Days see the linked page on the web site GenesisDays.com). If light was in any way altered from what it was in the original Creation, what are the implications for TIME as we know it?
To the right is a diagram showing TIME as we know it on the horizontal and zero time (or for lack of a better word, Eternity Past) on the vertical. Passage of time requires movement from left to right on the diagram, but there is no horizontal movement on the far left side. That’s why I refer to it as Eternity Past. It has no “beginning”.
Now, let’s consider what God said about the Days of Noah, Genesis 6:1-3Genesis 6:1-3
English: American Standard Version (1901) - ASV
6
1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the ground, and daughters were born unto them,
2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all that they chose.
3 And Jehovah said, My spirit shall not strive with man for ever, for that he also is flesh: yet shall his days be a hundred and twenty years.
WP-Bible plugin. By stating that His spirit would not “strive” (i.e. contend with or put up with) people “forever” because they were “also flesh” and happened to be utterly wicked, He limited the years they would live to 120. Two very important thoughts come from this information. 1 Before God dictates that their ages be more in line with 120 years man evidently lived to much greater ages and may have been becoming “eternal”. The whole part about “sons of God and daughters of men” suggests that people were different than they are now, perhaps the offspring of angels and, therefore, not fully mortal. No offense to Greek mythology but their details on these matters are woefully inadequate compared to the Bible so let’s stick to the Bible for pertinent info. 2 If you read further in Genesis and look at the ages of men before and after the Flood of Noah you will see a distinct shortening of the ages of men. This not only confirms God’s saying He would limit their ages to 120 years but it suggests a marked change in time. This also points out that the flood of Noah has something to do with God’s affecting time.
Let’s get back to light and time. When God said “Let light be” He might also have been saying, “let light be controlled with a set speed”. Everything else about the Days is about conditioning and setting parameters for the events spoken of in the text. For example, on a 4th Day (Genesis 1:1Genesis 1:1

WP-Bible plugin4-19) God establishes the seasons, days and years by setting the orbits of the planets in relation to the sun and the orbit or the moon in relation to the earth. Unfortunately some translations included the word “made” for the stars in these verses when it clearly states that God created the heavens (the universe) and the earth, in the beginning, before the Days. The complex part of this discussion is in relating God’s affecting time by affecting light on One Day and the Flood of Noah.
It’s really not that hard to grasp if you firmly understand that the Days of Genesis 1:3-36Genesis 1:3-36

WP-Bible plugin but are about the organization of things. Absolutely do not think of the Days as periods of time or you cannot see your way out of that pitfall. Now, to help you see how this comes together I suggest you look at the following diagram from my Creation Illustrated web site. Click on the thumbnail to the right for an enlarged image in another tab or window. Place it to the side of this window so that you can follow what I’m saying while looking at the diagram. First, see how the Days of Genesis 1 are listed across the top of the diagram. What we know of as One Day is when God said “Let light be” and then He separated light from dark. This is easily represented by the 2 dimensional graphic beneath the numbered Day where the graphic is divided into light and dark. If you follow down that column you see that the graphic is contained within the dark blue column to the far left of the entire sequence. This dark blue outer box is very key to seeing how One Day and the Flood of Noah are related.
Now, examine the colorful graphic laid upon the whole at a 45 degree angle from the lower left corner to the very center. This was created by plotting the ages of all the individuals and events listed in the Bible from Adam to the Land of Promise. On it you can see precisely when the Flood of Noah occurred. But remember, this isn’t about setting a date but locating this event in relation to the whole. The long golden line that cuts through these events and people, from corner to corner of the green quadrant is the mark indicating the Flood. The point at which the Flood line strikes the green quadrant first is precisely at the end of the blue column representing One Day – where light was moderated by God.
Pretty obviously we see from these things that Genesis 1:3-31Genesis 1:3-31

WP-Bible plugin is not at all about lengths of time but about what happened. Looking at the Creation Days in this manner we are able to see that the creation was not even about a sequence of events. It’s a verbal explanation of how the creation fit together and it was described in a way that people barely able to read and write could remember it. Was it important that people of that age understand these complexities? No. And yet, it is fabulous that in our day we are able to see these things and their greater meaning.
For all the years I’ve been a Christian, I never could connect with the various teachings about the antichrist and end-times prophecy as told by many/most teachers. I’ve sat through any number of sermons or conferences on the Books of Daniel and Revelation. All were interesting sounding but, once heard, spiritually dry to me. To me it seemed that Christians were wallowing around in prophecy without really getting anywhere. And there seems to be no end to money-making “teachers” regularly fleecing the prophecy addicts of America. (Notice these teachers don’t go to poorer countries to “teach”.) Taking all of that into account I figured I was just not called to be excited about the end, only the beginning. And so I have happily spent thousands of hours illustrating and analyzing the beginning. Mostly Genesis and Exodus.
But in my work on illustrating God’s Creation plan I have come to see a number of matters we think of as having to do with “end times” and how they were actually set out in the “beginning”. Makes sense, doesn’t it? Would God start something He didn’t know how to finish? No. And would He reveal to us how it started out without also revealing some parts of how it will end? Not at all likely. Besides the Bible is chock full of end time prophecies so we should at least attempt to see what it’s all about.
I’ve always wondered about the three-religion focus on Jerusalem. It makes sense to a Christian to see Christianity and Judaism centered there. But why Muslims? Their spiritual center is Mecca. Then there is the Muslim’s obsession with eliminating the Jews from Israel (more accurately viewed as eliminating Jews). Few people are willing to openly talk about the plight of Palestinians as a ruse. They rant about the right of the Palestinians to their own “state” conveniently forgetting that a Palestinian state was already voted on in 1947 – before the state of Israel. See this LINK to know more about this. But evidently Islam covets everything the Jews have, just as Ishmael wanted to displace Isaac in inheritance from Abraham and as Esau hated Jacob for a time for having received both his birthright and his father’s blessing.
For me there is only one contemporary teacher that comes close to telling it like it is concerning Islam. His name is Walid Shoebat and he is an ex-Palestinian terrorist converted to Christianity. What he has to say about the role of Islam in the end times is the only view that actually registers with me as spiritually accurate and meaningful for our times. (For more on his teachings go to YouTube and view the series beginning with this LINK.)
The citizens of the West only began woke up to the dangers of militant Islam when attacked overtly on 9/11 and only a fool would doubt that militant Islam poses a threat to anyone in the world not a Muslim. Don’t let “moderate” Muslim propaganda or the ideas of “multiculturalism” lull you into not seeing the dangers of militant Islam. Militant Islam is dominant in Islamic countries and wherever it began to dominate other countries, like Lebanon, it has become a cancer of violence towards all Christians and Jews.
As long as moderate Muslims don’t do anything to control “their” militants, they can’t speak with authority about Islam’s role in the world, or about Islam’s supposed peaceful nature – which is another deception.
So, how does Islam fit with end time prophecies? Go to this LINK and watch the series 1-10 videos. You will find he knows more than just about anyone teaching today about the Old Testament prophecies plus Revelation and where Islam belongs in prophecy . He definitely gets my vote.
As Christians we are supposed to be aware of, even anticipating, a coming worldwide Christian revival. Many Charismatic Christians and more and more Evangelicals are talking about it as a well grounded Christian concept. But where is this concept coming from? Well, best I can tell – not the Bible. Can’t find a single place that tells us to be prepared for revival. Prepare for apostasy, yes, revival, no. (For more on this specifically, see a different blog page HERE.)
Let’s look at the various sides of revival.
The word “revival” sounds very evangelical, doesn’t it – a part of Christianity’s vocabulary – since to anyone born in the 20th century it’s a word with which we grew up. Even non-Christians probably know what a revival is. Say “revival” and Billy Graham comes to mind, right?
Our parents and/or grandparents were probably familiar, first-hand, with news of California’s Azusa Street Revival of the earliest part of the 20th century. This was the place of the supposed birth of Pentecostalism in Christianity. And from what I can determine, this is the real birthplace of the revival concept that so permeates Christianity today.
Now, I’d love to know how this very localized and spontaneous spiritual “happening” supposedly extends to the whole world in the end times. But try as I might I cannot find anything in the Bible about end times news for believers other than Jesus’ warnings about apostasy and possible deceptions from within the Church. Well, we’ve seen plenty of that!
If the idea of revival isn’t really Biblical, how is it that this worldwide revival concept persists? Perhaps, as Christians it makes us feel good to think that Christianity will be renewed to the place it occupied in Acts where people were becoming believers simply by being exposed to the disciples. In droves people became believers. Wouldn’t that be nice? Wouldn’t it make us feel more effective if we could see a blossoming of Christianity worldwide instead of more news of persecutions in various places, massacres at the hands of militant Muslims and open hostility in our own countries coming from atheists masked as rights organizations and much of the education elite?
Perhaps we’re looking at this all a little backwards. I mean, if revival (big if) were to extend worldwide what would it look like? I somehow don’t think it would be anywhere close to the miracles and healings and speaking in tongues that fired the Azusa Street folks. I also don’t think it would resemble the spiritual train-wrecks we occasionally glace at on TV like Benny Hinn bopping someone on the forehead. And I definitely hope it would not resemble Christian Dominionism, beliefs eerily similar to Islamic ideas of world domination by religion.
Even so, if revival were to be worldwide, what could possibly spark such a thing? My personal belief is that only God Himself could bring revival worldwide, no matter how much effort proselytizing Christians put forth they can never do what the Holy Spirit can. And besides, if you have ever experienced Prevenient Grace you know it opens you up before you receive the Truth. There is nothing we can do as Christians other than answer correctly if someone asks.
To sum it up I now think that praying for revival is a waste of prayer. Rather than pray for God to change His perfect timing we should pray for individuals and cultures to know Christ. God’s Prevenient Grace alone makes people ready for the Truth. We have but one job. Be ready with the truth. God takes care of the details.
